With her life’s work and love being in Film and Video Production, Margie Templo Parks is a Producer-Director with over two decades of experience in numerous formats. She established her production company Arkeofilms in Manila in 2000 doing industrials and commercials, music videos, and independent films. After line producing the U.S.-Philippines co-production of “Amigo” by world-renowned writer-director John Sayles, she moved to the U.S. in 2012. She then freelanced in various capacities in production before joining IW Group, a leading multicultural advertising agency where currently serves as a producer for well-known brands.
Margie is an alumnus of the Sundance Co/lab and prestigious
international programs, including the Rotterdam Lab for Emerging Producers, Produire Au Sud in France, and the Berlinale Talent Campus, where she received the Talent Highlight Award She held leadership roles in the independent film community in the Philippines and is a member of Cinema Sala in Los Angeles.
Glenn is a Filipino filmmaker, sound designer, and scorer. His works often reflect identity, class struggle, and regionalism, usually in a playful form.
“Cleaners”, his debut feature film, won Best Film, Best Screenplay and Audience Choice Award at the @Cinema IFF 2019. It has since screened in Busan IFF, Taipei Golden Horse FF, Torino FF and San Diego FFF among others.
His latest short film, “Luzonensis Osteoporosis” won NETPAC Jury Prize and Audience Choice Award at the @Cinema IFF 2022. It then premiered in Tallinn Black Nights FF (PÖFF Shorts) 2023 and Fantasia IFF 2023 among others. It won Best Experimental Short in San Diego FFF in 2023. He is currently developing and itching to make his next two feature films.
Born in Olongapo, Philippines, and raised across San Diego and Houston, Kayla Abuda Galang is an award-winning filmmaker whose work draws from the funny minutiae of her communities, surroundings, and memory.
Her latest film, When You Left Me On That Boulevard, made its debut at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Short Film Grand Jury Prize. She was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film in 2023.
In 2024, she was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and awarded an Ani ng Dangal from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts of the Philippines. She is currently in development for her debut feature.
