Abby Asuncion is a queer, Filipina-American filmmaker based in New York City, originally from Vallejo, CA in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her debut narrative short film, Look Up! (2021) won six film festival awards and was an official selection for eight other festivals. Look Up! (2021) was filmed weeks before Asuncion’s graduation from the University of San Francisco and is her first and only student narrative film. One-Week Stand (2024) is her second narrative film.
