♫ Nandito na si Xavier X, bayani ng lahat Lalaban para sa hustisya’t katotohanan ♫Every day after school, a 10-year-old boy named Ken Marquez always watches the animated hero show, Xavier X. One day, the show suddenly got banned from airing. This confused Ken so he decided to search for answers. After asking his journalist mother and getting no information from her, he discussed the matter with his friends, who are also avid fans of the show. What Ken and his friends talked about grew his curiosity even more, and ended up suspecting his mother as the person behind Xavier X’s cancellation. This will soon lead to a discovery that will force Ken to face villains much more dangerous than the one from his favorite TV show. |

Grae Dela Cruz and Vynce Genica Ong are film graduates from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. Grae specializes in post-production, while Vynce’s specialization is screenwriting. Aside from their college, their internship at PinoyMedia Center (Film Weekly) further helped shape them as to what kind of filmmakers they wanted to become. And being close friends since freshman, they both knew they’d partner up for their thesis project, Ang Sandata ni Mama. It was an official selection for the 2023 Pelikultura: The CALABARZON Film Festival and Sinepiyu XVI: Ligaw as well as the competition winner for the 18th Spring Film Festival. It was also a Cycle 1 grantee of FDCP’s Student Film Assistance Program last 2023. In 2019, a passion film they made with friends, Tindahan, won 2nd place at Philippine Commission on Women’s CineJuana Digital Shorts Competition. They are now both working as freelancers and as production assistants for documentary film ‘Alipato at Muog’ by JL Burgos, an official entry for Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival. |
