The River That Never Ends

Along a river that undergoes a major change, Baby, a middle-aged trans woman, shuttles between her job as a companion-for-hire for strangers and her duty to her father. As the people around Baby start to disappear, she realizes that she has been left behind in a sprawling city.

JT Trinidad is a filmmaker, photographer, and critic based in Manila, graduating summa cum laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman, they served as VP for Academics and Research at UP Cinema and were Creative Director for Kino Punch 6. Their shorts have been selected for festivals including QCinema, SeaShorts, Singapore, Jogja, Ji.hlava, Kaohsiung, Hamburg, XPOSED Berlin, NFFTY, BFI, and Tampere, and are currently featured on The Criterion Collection. Trinidad has contributed articles and photographs to the Philippine Collegian and published film essays and reviews in various outlets. In 2024, they received an Ani ng Dangal award, and their photographs have been exhibited at Orange Project, UP Fine Arts Gallery, BenCab Museum, and ArtFair PH as part of Fotomoto 2023. They are an alumnus of Ricky Lee’s Screenwriting Workshop, Mowelfund Film Institute, and Film Futura.
