Two Filipina American sisters return home for Christmas and announce their plans to make their first pilgrimage to the Philippines, hoping this trip will reconnect them to their heritage. Three generations are confronted with the consequences of the pressure to assimilate to American society, and grapple with their failure to pass down a culture that never really felt theirs to begin with.

Quin Sotelo is a Filipina-American filmmaker from Northern California. She started her career in costume design, designing films shot all over the world and assisting top costume designers in the film industry working in both London and Los Angeles, for Disney, Netflix, and Apple. Her determination to see more representation on and behind the screen pushed her to make the leap into directing, and she is most passionate about telling stories that share the experiences of the Asian-American community.
