Darlene Dy is a writer-director from the Philippines. Her first degree was in corporate management. She works in the field of advertising and marketing but at the same time decided to pursue her passion for film and storytelling. She then studied Advanced Motion Picture Production in Asia Pacific Film Institute which paved the way for her to write, direct and edit multiple short films. Her short film “Okay Lang..” was chosen as the top film at APFI’s FreshCut film screening and her other film “The Secret Life of Lola” gained high praises at the UFO Sightings: A Revival screening.
 
She recently wrapped production for her latest short film “Metamode” and is awaiting its premier in film festivals.
