Simon, a traumatized fisherman and absentee father, struggles to forget his past by drowning himself in cheap gin. But when his source of alcohol runs dry, the memories of his dead wife begin to consume him, leading to what may be his death or a new awakening.
Jordan dela Cruz is a regional filmmaker from the province of Camarines Sur. He is an alumnus / fellow of the NAFF BiFan Fantastic Film School, the Doha Film Institute, and the Tribeca Film Institute.
Since 2014, he has worked as an editor in the Philippines and the Middle East. He recently edited the narrative miniseries “The Tapes” (dir. Bradley Liew).
Jordan studied screenwriting under esteemed Filipino writers Ricky Lee and Doy del Mundo Jr., won the Arthouse Corner Grand Prix at Autumn Meeting (Vietnam), participated in Full Circle Lab (Philippines), Cine Qua Non Lab (Mexico), the Doha Film Institute’s Hezayah Screenwriting Lab (Qatar), TFI Network at the Tribeca Film Festival (US), and CineMart at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (Netherlands).
