Oscar Quilala II is the director of “Sisters” and is from Lakeport, a small rural town in Northern California. Growing up, there weren’t many places for professional training in filmmaking; the training he did get for filmmaking was through watching movies, watching YouTube videos about filmmaking, and making movies.
