Velvet Sky

Directed by Charles Jon Gray

After winning the grand jury prize at a local film festival and receiving an offer to make his first feature film by an independent movie studio, Miguel Endico, a young Filipino filmmaker has a chance encounter with one of his biggest film idols—Victor Soriano, an established filmmaker who offers Miguel the chance to take him under his wing and mentor him. The two begin a mentorship program that starts to be troublesome and toxic in the way that Victor is behaving towards Miguel. Through a string of tests and tribulations, the young filmmaker must find a way to break away from this toxic relationship after realizing that Victor might only be out to sabotage him and tarnish his chance at success. This leads Miguel to follow the path that he was meant to find and make the film that he was always destined to make.
