While he’s trapped in his apartment recovering from COVID, an exasperated Vic tries to evade a nosy apparition of his late mother.
Jill Janairo is a formerly undocumented filmmaker, playwright, and comedy nerd.

After a storied career as a showrunner’s assistant, rat lab cleaner, podcast producer, and copywriter for plastic surgeons, she became part of the inaugural cohort of the SheMadeIt directing fellowship in 2023. Since then, she’s written and directed the short film Vic and His Nanay, which has been featured in the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, the Asian International Film Festival, and the Fil-Am Creative Festival. She’s also won awards from the San Diego International Film Festival, the Urban Mediamakers Festival, the Portland Comedy Festival, the International Playwriting Competition from the BBC World Service, and the San Diego Filipino Film Festival. Her writing has also been recognized by the Geffen Playhouse Writer’s Room and the #Savage23 Grant program.
