Nanay’s Lullaby

Directed by Drew Stephens

Nanay’s Lullaby focuses on a Filipino-American family that has been torn apart by religious beliefs, traditions and ego. Arnel has finally found comfort in his own skin after being ostracized by his domineering father, ultra-religious older sister and their ambivalent mother. When the mother is struck by a mysterious illness, the brother and sister clash over doing what they think is best.

Writer/Director Drew Stephens has collaborated on many dozens of film projects that have screened around the world, including the award-winning short films “Prinsesa,” “VDA: Tape 96” and “Bound 4 Heaven.” Drew was a TV & Radio presenter in Thailand and was the original TV host for Electric City LGBT TV in San Francisco.
